My Top Three Favorite Features – Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort
February 29, 2020
Other than Ryan proposing to me in the Bahamas, I wanted to give a little review of our time spent in Nassau.
The resort: We stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian. Sandals, in general, is marketed as a “Luxury” and “Romantic” vacation. We saw a some weddings while we were there, as well as proposals (other than mine!) It’s also an “Adult’s Only” resort; no kids! A great place to have a romantic getaway.
My top three favorite features at the resort:
First, it’s all-inclusive! Side note: it’s a strictly no-tipping resort, unless you have a butler. Yes, you can have a butler take care of you while you’re there. We didn’t partake, but I saw other couples being waited on, so if that’s what you’re into, then this is the place for you for total relaxation.
Second, and hands down my favorite part; A PRIVATE OFFSHORE ISLAND. The island featured its own restaurant, pool/hot tub, private beaches, the spa, and what seems like a million picture perfect locations. Also, a ferry runs every hour to and from the island so you never have to leave the resort!
Lastly, let’s not forget about the 11 restaurants. From high-end “dinner only” restaurants to a good old-fashioned pub with all the basic munchies. There’s even a coal-fired pizza place near the pool(s) for a filling mid-day snack!
Check out the video we made of the resort below:
- Total of 3 pools, and 4 hot tubs. The two pools on the resort were vastly different, one was filled with all the activities and the other was calm and quiet. There’s a place for you to relax or have fun! Not to mention, all three pools had swim-up bars of course!ย Tip:ย Bring an insulated travel mug, your drinks will last you longer in the sun, and they have fewer dishes to clean!
- White sand beaches filled with lounge chairs, canopies, hammocks, chairs, you name it.
- The Spa – We enjoyed a relaxing 90-minute couples massage, and they had chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne waiting for us afterwards!
- Each day and night is full of activities to keep you entertained and relaxed. They hand you a pamphlet of the activities when you arrive.
- Gym, tennis courts, cricket, volleyball, etc. The resort was perfect for a morning run too!
- Transportation to and from the resort was all handled through them as well. We arrived at the airport and made our way to the Sandals Welcome Desk. They were so friendly, they gave us water, took our bags, and showed us to the bus. Going back to the airport was about the same experience. We checked-out and left our bags in the room as directed. They took our bags down to the desk for us, and we identified them before they put them on the bus. Everything was seamless and accommodating!
We booked through a local travel agency, but if you’d like to learn more about the resort you can check it outย here.
ย
We undoubtedly enjoyed our stay! Every morning we woke up and drank our coffee on our balcony and watched the sun come up. Then we’d head out to the pool, the beach, or the private island! I’ve been to other places like Mexico, Jamaica, and Dominican Republic, but this was by far the best vacation I’ve had.
I am so excited for more travels with my lovely fiancรฉ and I’ll tell you all about them!
