
As the new year officially kicks off, it is clear to me that I need to be more mindful.
Today, I start Mindful Mondays. On Mondays I will be posting about my journey and helpful tips. If you are on a similar path or are thinking about starting something like this, I hope you follow along with me!
Here’s how I started my day today:
- Alarm blaring at 5:15am, rolling out of bed around 5:30am. I can never get out of bed quickly. If you can, God bless!
- I put my gym clothes on and made some pre-workout to get my blood pumping! Here’s the pre-workout I like *Not Sponsored*
- I spent about an hour at the gym. Today I focused on arms and shoulders. My arm/shoulder routine here!
- Once I got home I jumped in the shower, washed my face, brushed my teeth, moisturized, made my bed, got ready, etc.
- COFFEE TIME, a MUST. Just your normal coffee addict here!!
- Lastly, I meditated. A quick 10 minutes to get my mind right and ready to take on the day. It doesn’t take that long and puts me in the right headspace.
Now time to get to work!
I find that starting my day like this gets me motivated and ready to conquer the rest of the day. If you have a stressful job like I do, this is a great way to prepare for what’s ahead. Take the time for yourself BEFORE helping others. Just like the safety instructions say before a flight, put your mask on before assisting others; same concept!
